Fall Time Cozy Book Tag

I know I wasn't tagged to do this, but I saw everyone else do it so I decided to do it too.

LET US BEGIN
1. Crunching Leaves: The world is full of color: Choose a book that has reds/yellows/oranges on the cover.
I'm happy to say that one of my favorite books in the WHOLE world is red and that is The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan. The Percy Jackson series for me is like the Harry Potter series for a '90s kid. Like, Percy Jackson was my first crush. Besides that this is my favorite book in the series (although the Last Olympian is a close second). Mostly because of that awesome battle scene at the end. I mean nine-year-old me was literally biting her nails through that entire section. Oh, yeah and did I mention fetus PERCA FREAKIN' BETH. I was literally fangirling when they had their first kiss (and I didn't even know what fangirling was). But of course, Uncle Rick decided that was the perfect time to ship Percy off to another woman SMH😤.

2. Cozy Sweater: Its finally cold enough to don warm cozy clothing: what book gives you the warm fuzzies?
Shug by Jenny Han. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. This is the first book I ever cried over. Imagine my sister walking in to find a 10-year-old me crying in the middle of my bedroom (looking back it was actually really funny and if I were her I would've laughed too, but at the time I was hella traumatized). It's told from the POV of a 12-year-old girl who's name is Annemarie (Shug) and even though the main character is so young I think you can relate to this book at any age. Every time I've read it I feel like I've discovered more about myself since the last time I read it. It's so comforting and relatable and carefree and loving, it just reminds of simpler times and childhood. OMG, I'm getting teary eyed just thinking of itðŸ˜.

3. Fall Storm: The wind is howling & the rain is pounding: choose your favorite book OR genre that you like to read on a stormy day.
OK, so I live in Arizona so this question obviously doesn't apply to me, but if it were to rain here I would definitely re-read the Ruby Red Trilogy by Kerstin Gier. That book series is HI-FRIGGIN'-LARIOUS. It's about this girl named Gwendolyn and she found out that she can time travel even though everyone thought it was her cousin that was born with the time travel ability... yeah it sounds weird, BUT ITS REALLY GOOD. These books are SOOO ADDICTING!!! I read the whole series in a weekend because I just couldn't put it down. OMG, Gwendolyn is one of the funniest and most relatable characters I've ever read about and it's chock full of pop culture references that are pretty much geared toward us, 2000s kids. (That High School Musical reference was so on point😂).

4. Cool Crisp Air: What's the coolest character you'd want to trade places with?
My choice might be cheating because I don't think this character is cool I just think I'd do a much better job than they do in the story. I'm talking about Anna from Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. Cue the screaming fangirls.

LOOK.
I enjoyed this book and was definitely entertained whie reading, but I think that Anna might be the dumbest sack of wood in YA history. The only way I can really explain why is by writing a manuscript about it. SCENE.
ANNA: oOohh WHY did my parents have to ABANDON me in Paris allowing me to gain a stellar education and amazing socially skills helping me gain real world experience, why, why, why?
ME: LOL, this girl isn't serious right?
ANNA: oOohh WHY do I have to be in Paris where I can't eat anything unless I actually ask someone what the food on the menu means like a regular person would do if they were in a foreign country...WHY GOD WHY???
ME: This bitch is serious.
ANNA: OOOH WHY do I obviously know that Etienne, the boy of my dreams, likes me. I couldn't POSSIBLY tell him and NOT wait an entire year to act upon it wasting the reader's precious time... OH WOE IS ME!!!
ME: Oh my god.
Fin.
I'm sorry if you really enjoyed her character, but I couldn't take her seriously because the whole time I was reading this book I kept thinking about how I wanted to take her place because she had it so easy and didn't even realize how lucky she was.

5. Hot Apple Cider: What under hyped book do you want to see become the biggest, hottest thing?
THE MISTBORN TRILOGY. I know that a lot of people have read these books, but no one my age has (at least not any of my friends). Brandon Sanderson combined Ocean's Eleven, Harry Potter and Game of Thrones and made it into something FREAKING AWESOME!!! Can you believe I only heard about this series this summer!?!?!? MIND BLOWN!!! I can't believe this series hasn't been made into a movie or an HBO Series, I'd watch it! I mean it would leave me emotionally traumatized, but I'd watch it! It follows this girl, Vin, who lives in a tyrannical mythical world and she joins this gang that's trying to pull a heist on their dictator, the Lord Commander. I know that's a lot to take in, but trust me its good!

6. Coats, Scarves, and Mittens: The weather has turned cold & it's time to cover up-What's the most embarassing book cover you own that you like to keep hidden in public?
I'm not into the erotic romance section, but I do have one series of books that makes me cringe every time I see their covers, and that is the Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout. The books are about this girl named Katie who moves into this really small town where she meets her really hot and mysterious neighbor, Daemon (honestly it's a lot like Twilight). It actually sucks because I really like this series and every time I try to recommend it to my friends they don't even take me seriously just because of the covers. But honestly I can't blame them, I mean look at these things!

REALLY THO.
7. Pumpkin Spice: What's your favorite Fall time comforts/food?
I LOVE HOT CHOCOLATE!!! Like pumpkin spice who? Hot chocolate is the best thing that God and mankind have created. Hands down.
